Before calculating, please enter the remanence value of the magnetic material (Br in T), the geometric dimensions (R1 and L1 in mm), and the distance (L in mm) to calculate the pull force between the disc magnet and the steel plate.
To calculate the pull force between a ring magnet and a steel plate, the ring magnet (OD × ID × H) can be treated as two disc magnets: one magnet (Disc Magnet 1) with the dimensions OD × H and another magnet (Disc Magnet 2) with the dimensions ID × H. The pull force of the ring magnet is equal to the difference between the pull forces of the two disc magnets:
